Providence, RI. Custom blue stone cluster engagement ring.
How did it all begin?
We both moved to Providence, RI separately in 2019 and met on Bumble! We were both new to the city and wanted to find someone to explore restaurants and outdoor areas with.
When did you know your partner was The One?
It was simultaneously a slow and fast burn. We met right before Covid hit so that pushed us closer together than ever pretty quickly. I think it’s hard to pinpoint a moment where I specifically knew but one of the pivotal moments was when we were eating macarons and he described why it wasn’t that good of a macaron. As a home cook/baker, I was in love and so impressed. For him, he has always said he knew because we could talk for hours and he would never get tired like he typically does as a more socially introverted person. He looked forward to long car rides together even because it meant we could talk.
What made you choose Do Amore?
We saw Do Amore on Shark Tank! It’s one of our favorite shows. The message spoke to me immediately because I was a huge lover of Tom’s, one of the original one-to-one model companies and the message means a lot to me. Then once I reached out about custom options and your capabilities with different gems/stones, we were sold. I was able to design my dream ring versus just getting something more standard because the other custom options we had come across were very expensive.

How did you propose?
He surprised me by proposing at an island in Maine called Cabbage Island on a family vacation. My mother’s family has a huge history in this area of Maine and on the island so it was very, very sweet and special.
What was it like to see your ring for the first time?
The custom process is a little scary because you’re left to rely on CAD images and basically don’t get to see a real thing until it’s all said and done. I was confident it would work out. When I saw it for the first time I couldn’t believe it was real. It was so shiny and so gorgeous. I was so proud of the design and received a ton of compliments once I started showing it off. Couldn’t be happier!

What makes you most excited about your future together?
A big question! But I think we are both just excited to have one another in life no matter what happens. We have been through some hard things and big decisions, but each time we feel closer than ever. I’m excited to see what we accomplish together and also future vacations!! Haha we love to travel.
Have you decided on a wedding style or theme yet?
We are having a micro wedding in Washington state next summer with a private photo/video session in advance at Mount Rainier National Park to say our vows privately in the mountains
