We know that buying jewelry online requires trust. We understand, and that’s why we are proud to offer our Do Amore Guarantee to give you confidence in your purchase.
On every purchase we offer 30 day returns, lifetime limited warranty, and free lifetime ring care. We are strict with our supply chain, using only the most ethical materials. And every Do Amore purchase changes a life forever by providing someone access to clean water.
30 day returns
Engagement and wedding rings are once-in-a-lifetime purchases and we want you to be happy with yours. We have a return and exchange policy so that you can be sure you feel great about your purchase. Because we have to release funds for your water project, you must contact us within 30 days of receiving your item if you intend to return it.
How do I return or exchange my jewelry?
Just contact us by email, chat, or call. It’s never fun having to return something, but we will work with you and make it as easy as possible.
What do I need to include in my return?
You must include the ring or jewelry along with the Do Amore wood box and any original documentation. Please note that returned items must be in their original condition, and all rings, diamonds, and gemstones will be inspected before a refund or exchange is processed.
How does return shipping work?
We don’t pay for return shipping but are happy to send you a return shipping label to make shipping easier and so you can benefit from our FedEx discounts. You are also welcome to ship your item back yourself using your carrier of choice.
What about custom orders?
Because we are unable to resell them, custom orders are not returnable or exchangeable. Of course, if we made a mistake on your order we will be more than happy to fix it. Custom orders still come with our limited lifetime warranty (see below). Custom orders include rings that have custom engravings, fingerprint engravings, custom designs, design alterations, specially sourced stones, or custom sizes (women’s sizes smaller than 3.0 or larger than 9.0; men’s sizes smaller than 5.0 or larger than 12.0).
Lifetime limited warranty
We stand behind the quality of our jewelry. All Do Amore products come with a limited lifetime warranty that protects against defective manufacturing.
What do I do if I have an issue with my ring or jewelry?
If you suspect your ring or jewelry has a manufacturer’s defect, contact us by email, chat, or call. We will evaluate your request and ask you to ship the item to us so our team can perform a full inspection. If it is determined that there is indeed a manufacturing defect, we will repair your item to a like-new condition.
What is covered under warranty?
Our warranty covers all manufacturing defects. It excludes wear and tear. To help extend the life of your ring, we do offer free lifetime ring care – see details below.
Our warranty excludes coverage for accidental damage, loss of ring or precious stones, and theft. We strongly recommend purchasing independent insurance for your rings to help recover losses from any of these.
What about repairs?
If you ever need a repair that is not covered under warranty, don’t worry. Do Amore repairs are affordable because we provide them at cost (without any profit). If you insured your ring through a third party insurance company, we are happy to work with them directly to expedite the process and make it easier for you.
You are free to have another party perform repair or service on your jewelry, but keep in mind that doing so will void the Do Amore warranty.
Free lifetime ring care
Do Amore provides complimentary lifetime care on all of our rings! This includes inspections, polishing, cleaning, stone tightening, and rhodium-plating (for white gold). It also includes free resizing.
How does resizing work?
We can typically increase or decrease the size of your ring by a whole size without problem. Larger resizings are more difficult, but we work with some of the best jewelers in the world and in many cases they are able to perform larger resizes. Keep in mind that rings may become weaker with multiple resizes or larger resizes.
Unfortunately, some rings are not resizable. This includes fingerprint bands, eternity bands, and a few other styles.
How do I send in my ring for free care?
Simply send us an email or give us a call and we will provide you with the details. We’ll cover everything except the shipping costs!
100% ethical materials
We take pride in our ethical supply chain, with materials that are 100% conflict-free and socially conscious.
Natural diamonds
To ensure every diamond we sell is ethically sourced, we go beyond the Kimberley Process by partnering with and purchasing diamonds from cutters committed to strict ethical and environmental practices, including Diamond Sightholders. The 79 Diamond Sightholders face strict requirements to ensure they do not buy diamonds from areas that support conflict, do not endanger the welfare of any individuals, and follow the international best-practice environmental framework. The Sightholder status allows them to source rough diamonds from responsible mines in Canada, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, and Russia, which we purchase after they have been cut and polished. Many of the diamonds we source have blockchain or blockchain-like ledgers which allow us to track their history from original mining to certification by GIA.
We also source recycled diamonds that have been removed from old jewelry and re-certified for sale. No new mining is required for these diamonds.
Lab created diamonds and gemstones
Lab created diamonds and gemstones do not require any mining, making them the most eco-friendly stones. We are even beginning to work with suppliers that create diamonds using renewable energy to eliminate any carbon footprint during growing, cutting, and polishing.
Natural gemstones
We source ethically-mined gems from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Australia, and Montana.
Precious metals
All of our rings are made from recycled precious metals which come from old jewelry and electronics. Sourcing recycled precious metals reduces our carbon footprint and allows us to avoid ethical issues related to international mining operations. One question we are frequently asked is whether recycled precious metals are any different than newly mined metals. Because they are refined to their original elements, there is absolutely no difference in strength or look between recycled precious metals and newly mined metals!
Jarrah wood boxes
Our ring boxes are handmade from Jarrah wood, one of the world’s most sustainable woods. Jarrah wood is sustainably harvested from forests in New Zealand and Australia, while preserving biodiversity and soil, water, and air quality in the ecosystem.
Shipping
All Do Amore shipments are carbon neutral through purchased carbon credits. This includes not just shipping to you, but even shipping between our suppliers, manufacturers, and internal offices.
Every item purchased gives one person access to clean water
Do Amore was founded with a question – how can we do more? Our answer was to do our part to help solve the water crisis, which affects millions of people all over the world. From the beginning, every single item we’ve sold has given one person access to clean water.
How does it work?
We proudly partner with Charity: Water, a non-profit that constructs water wells for communities in need. We identify a community, pool together multiple ring purchases to match the number of people in the community, and fund the project. This way, every single purchase is directly responsible for giving one person access to clean water. And it doesn’t stop there. The community is taught basic but live-saving health and sanitation practices, as well as how to maintain their water well so it continues working. If the well breaks, we fund the repairs. In fact, many of the water wells we have funded have flow sensors that alert local partners if the well stops producing so a technician can repair it. We fund sustainable water solutions that truly change lives forever.
Finally, we are unique among social impact companies by letting you see the direct impact that your purchase makes. On our Impact page we show you photos and the GPS coordinates of the actual community where you gave someone water.
How much does Do Amore donate?
Since we started we’ve donated at least 20% of net profits every year towards water well construction and maintenance. We have given clean water to over 12,000 people, funding 50 water wells in 9 countries so far. You can view more details here.
How does clean water help?
By reducing the amount of time spent on trips to get water, access to clean water allows people (mostly women and girls) to spend more time studying, raising families, and starting businesses. By one estimate, every $1 invested in clean water yields $4 of economic returns. And most importantly, it improves health and prevents needless deaths. Clean water changes everything!!
