After our second date, I called a friend and filled him in on how I thought Sara was so amazing, but I was worried that I couldn’t give her the time and energy she deserved in a relationship. At the time, I was only a few months into starting my Videography business and so I had a full plate with work. My friend told me that we were the kind of people who would always be busy, we would always have some project, we would always have work, and that wouldn’t change, so life wasn’t about waiting around until we were no longer busy but it was about finding that right person who supported and encouraged you. Well, our third date was shooting a commercial for a band we both liked and then going to their concert. As soon as we got to the shoot, Sara jumped in and helped, encouraging me the entire time. At that time on that date, I was deciding whether or not to ask her to be my girlfriend, in reality, while I was watching her work alongside me, I couldn’t help but envision spending the rest of my life with her.

I proposed in an old historic building in Washington Court House, OH. We first met in that town at a coffee shop called Vinyl Coffee so I thought it would be fitting to propose in WCH. I flew out that same artist (@lovknmusic) from the concert we went to on our third date to play music when we walked into the room. I also brought out a photography duo (@dustinandbree) from Indianapolis who were close to Sara most of her life to capture the proposal! Further, I had a good videographer friend of mine capture the proposal on Super 8 film video and we used live recorded audio from the proposal of LOVKN singing for the video. I kept the proposal simple and let the moment be intimate and sweet. Immediately after the proposal we had a surprise engagement party at Vinyl Coffee with all of our close friends and family to celebrate the evening!

Our wedding theme is timeless but traditional. Colors are black, white, and green so black suits and bridesmaids dresses, white walls, wood floors, green eucalyptus, and lots of plants. We are going for almost all live music since we have a lot of friends and people I work with who are musicians! I am probably most excited about the music, coffee, and celebration. The engagement party was so fun so I am really looking forward to celebrating with all of our closest friends and family!
